Larry Ellison is an American entrepreneur, a philanthropist as well as a businessman who is best known for his role in Oracle Corporation. Ellison is one of the founders of Oracle Corporation. In addition to that, he currently serves as its chief technology officer as well as the executive chairman.

In the 1970s, for a brief moment, Larry was an employee of Amdahl Corporation. Later, he joined Ampex Corporation. One of his projects was creating a database for the CIA and the name he gave it was Oracle. He, together with two partners, founded the Software Development Laboratories in 1977. IN 1979, its name changed to Relational Software Ink. In honour of his most important work which is the Oracle Database, Ellison renamed his company and called it Oracle Systems Corporation in 1982.

The divorced in 1978 after six months of marriage.
